Has anyone ever seen the movie Alfie? Alfie is a movie which is the reproduction with a bit of spice of a classical movie from the 60’s. The cast includes many starts including Jude Law, Omar Epps, Susan Sarandon, and Sienna Miller. The main character is Alfie who is played by Jude Law. Alfie is a man with a very high sex drive but his occupation as a chauffeur is not setting him back. His life revolves around seducing females but when he runs in to one woman, things change a lot. When Alfie meets the character played by Susan Sarandon, the roles reverse as Susan Sarandon tries to seduce him.
While this may seem irrelevant to the absinthe drink, there is a purpose for this article. Absinthe has been found in many movies and TV shows and this is one of those examples. When Susan Sarandon tries to seduce Alfie, with the attempt she uses “The Green Fairy” to edge him on. We all know that the ‘Green Fairy’ is a type of absinthe drink which has become very popular. In this movie, the two are found drinking absinthe at one point and time and it leads to other events in the movie.
This just goes to show how directors will utilize the buzz which is received from drinking absinthe in movies. Absinthe is a drink which has a unique buzz to it and can lead to various activities and events occurring so it is perfect to lead up to a huge moment in a movie of any genre. |
