The series focused around a group of carnival workers discovering various places throughout the American Dustbowl carnival circuit. Throughout the way, the crew is in dispute with morality and the good and the bad.
While you may be wondering how this related to absinthe, it does. One character on the show, Professor Ernst Lodz became heavily obsessed with absinthe after various visits to Paris, France. Throughout the TV series, he is regularly drinking absinthe to keep his craving filled.
