Wormwood is one of the main ingredients in absinthe. Not only is wormwood very important in absinthe but there are a lot of different things which contain wormwood. There are various other products which use wormwood as a main ingredient as well.
Medical
Wormwood has regularly been used as an herb with medical powers. One strong example of this is that wormwood is used to get rid of intestinal worms – this is often referred to as a vermifuge. Wormwood has also been found to be something which can protect people from the plague at can be used to fend off fleas (and other vermin) but wormwood is most noteworthy for being the main ingredient in absinthe.
Anus Pain Relief
While this title may seem a little weird or funny, there was ancient Egyptian documentation which was discovered. The document stated wormwood is one of many ingredients combined to relief the pain caused by demons in your anus.
With all jokes aside, wormwood is very popular for being a main part of absinthe and will always be remembered for that. There are various other products that wormwood is a part of though and it’s not just absinthe that wormwood is a main ingredient in.
